Linear motor cartridges are becoming the standard in microneedling because they offer consistent needle velocity regardless of handpiece angle or skin resistance.

One of the most common questions tbphp receives from potential OEM partners is about sterilization validation. Specifically: how do we know the EO sterilization process actually penetrated the cartridge interior? The answer is that we do not rely on assumption.
Every Sterilization Load
Every sterilization load includes process challenge devices (PCDs) placed inside the cartridge lumen and inside the hub cavity. A PCD is a self-contained biological indicator with a known population of Bacillus atrophaeus spores. If the spore population is reduced by 6 log (sterility assurance level 10^-6), the cycle is validated for that product configuration.
Half-Cycle Full-Cycle Validation
We run half-cycle and full-cycle validation for every new cartridge design. The half-cycle establishes the lethality rate. The full-cycle confirms a 6-log reduction with margin.
Documented Included Technical
This is documented per ISO 11135 and included in our technical file. A certificate of sterility from the sterilization facility is not a validation. It is a batch record confirming the cycle parameters were met.
Validation Evidence Parameters
The validation is the evidence that those parameters are sufficient to sterilize your specific product. If your supplier cannot produce the validation report for your cartridge design, the certificate of sterility is worth approximately nothing from a regulatory standpoint.
None of this is magic. It is disciplined manufacturing with transparent specifications. If you are evaluating a microneedling OEM partner, ask them for their needle tip concentricity data and their linear motor force linearity curve. How they respond tells you more than any marketing page. tbphp OEM manufacturer provides OEM partners with full manufacturing data.
